Some groups allow visitors to attend or take part, either as ad-hoc or potential members

Arts Group (inc Portable Crafts)
Bratton Clovelly has an enthusiastic Arts Group that meets every Wednesday from 1:45pm until 4:30pm in Bratton Clovelly's Parish Hall.
Predominantly keen beginners, members of the group work at their own own Artwork at their own pace.
The group sometimes set themselves Topic challenges which members can take part in if they desire.
We all advise, helps and guide each other in a broad range of media, as well as encouraging group members to have a go at something different.
On occasion guest Tutors are invited to run sessions.

If you would like to pop in to see what transpires, please feel free to do so, someone is always willing to let you borrow a bit of this and that so you can try your hand.

Costs are kept very low and New Members are always Welcome

Bratton Clovelly Women's Institute is a small, lively, sociable group of ladies who meet on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7.30 pm in The School Room. We have outside speakers on a range interesting and informative subjects. We take part in local village activities and events and amongst other activities we run the annual Produce Show.

We are members of Devon Federation of Women's Institute and take part in many of their events such as skittles tournaments county quizzes and visits to places of interest. We are also involved nationally as part of The National Federation of Women's Institutes and our opinion is sort on the work they carry out on our behalf and we are encouraged to work locally to resolve issues.

Bratton Clovelly's Friendly Badminton Group meets every Wednesday evening with the intention of having fun and enjoying Badminton at an easy pace.
The session starts at 8:00pm and all are welcome to take part.
Newcomers and Visitors are always made welcome
Payment is by the session (£2) cheap as chips
Beginners and Newcomers are always welcome

Book Club
Members of Bratton Clovelly's Book Reading Group read a variety of books and then we meet on the First Tuesday of each month at 8pm in the Pub (Clovelly Inn) to discuss the Book of the moment. The list of current & past reads appear on the linked Webpage.

Indoor Bowls
Bratton Clovelly's Indoor Bowls Group meet every Thursday at 7:30pm
in the Parish Hall ~ Bowls are made available for beginners

Parents and Toddlers U5s
A chance for Parents of young (under 5) to meet and for their children to socialise and play. This group is run by the parents and does not provide Childcare, so a parent or appointed relative must accompany a child or sibling children

Tai Chi Group
We have a twice-weekly Tai Chi Group ~ West Devon Tai Chi ~ born in the village in 2015. The Group is run by Mandy ~ a village member ~ who has great talent and patience. The group meets on Tuesday Eve and/or Friday Morning ~ each session is a 'Drop-In' so no need to wait to join ~ just come when you can

Bratton Clovelly Village is twinned with Nonant in the Calvados department in Normandy, France ~ our Twinning Association includes other villages in this area, (this includes Thrushelton, Lewdown, Stowford, Portgate, Northlew and several more)
